Teddy Bear Cushion Classes

By April 26, 2017November 20th, 2017blog

The first of the Teddy Bear Cushion Classes was held just before Easter and we had a blast!

Three lovely ladies came to my home and we had a fabulous day full of delicious eats, fun fabrics and lots of giggles!

We set up in our huge lounge room with the sun pouring in through our large windows, with a little goodie bag as well (it was getting close to Easter so there were some chocolates!). The ladies brought their own machines and set up on the table.

As usual, we got so involved in what we were doing and having so much fun that I forgot to take many pictures! This was the only one I took once the ladies had arrived!

There are two options with the Teddy Bear Cushion Class: BYO fabric to really make the cushion your own, or I can provide a complete kit for your cushion. These ladies had brought their own fabrics and had selected such lovely bright fabrics for their grandchildren!

This was my most recent teddy bear cushion that I used as my sample for the class. I just love the soft colours 🙂

I also include instructions on how to make up the rececessed zip for the back of the cushion (they always sit so much nicer than the envelope backings). An online tutorial for this will be written soon!

The weather was a bit too cool to sit outside by the lake for our lunch, so we sat in the kitchen in front of our big Smeg cooker and had homemade pumpkin soup and ham salad sandwiches. And of course I got out all my lovely teacups and saucers for morning and afternoon tea with our cookies and cake! Any excuse!

If you would love to have your own girl’s day out near Daylesford, Victoria and make your own teddy bear cushion, there are more details on the Classes page or get in touch via the Contact page. I would love to host you and your friends!
