This is my second year coming to Raylee from Sunflower Stitcheries and Quilting sewcial retreat in Bungendore (near Canberra) and I LOVE it!
The Carrington Inn in Bungendore (which is about 20-30 mins out of Canberra) has a huge function building called Rose Cottage where they host weddings (and quilt retreats!). It has lots of light, separate space for eating and some relaxing space too. Just lovely.
By Friday night most people had arrived and we were well into our sewing and chatting! (and note those comfy couches next to the fireplace!)
And I got to setup my small pop up shop table as well.
The weather has been fantastic! Blue skies and sunshine, albeit a little nippy in the mornings.
The accommodation is comfortable and the showers are fantastic. The carpet in the bedroom we had was… well… bold is a good word! But a microwave, fridge and small kitchen made breakfasts easy.
The rest of the meals are included in the retreat price which is awesome (and saves time away from the sewing machine having to find an evening meal!)
