Handmade With Love Finish

By August 8, 2017May 4th, 2018blog

Wow! There have been some wonderful quilt tops made during our recent Handmade With Love Sew along!

It was a very relaxed sew along, some people are still working on their blocks, some did the whole quilt, others a smaller quilt, some table runners, cushions and they all looked amazing!

So grab a cuppa and scroll through all the beauties 🙂

Tawnya (@tawnya_gram) made a beautiful quilt (and she has it up for sale on Instagram account if this needs to come live with you)

Sarah (@sewingintheannexe) used Scandi Nordic fabric and it really popped!

Cathy (@cathyewbank) made hers from Little Joys fabric and it is sweet! The scrappy stars blocks and the HST blocks are just so cute 🙂

Jen (@ferryquilts) made a gorgeous present quilt – not necessarily a Christmas quilt so it can be used all year around.

Jennifer (@glindaquilts) used a really dark background fabric and her Handmade With Love quilt looks totally different! And again, a present quilt that can be used all year around.

Jackie (@jacki_nash) used lots of bright prints with some christmas ones popped in and managed to get it all finished, bound AND washed!

Rachel (@sterlingsewn) took the relaxed sewalong and ran with it! She added in some blocks from other places, made up one of her own and it is going to look fab!

And another Jennifer (@beesewinspired) use all Bonnie and Camille fabrics (well, it is a Camille pattern after all!) and it looks gorgeous 🙂

But the person who took the #HWLSewalong to its limits and beyond was Tammy (@tammyk073).

She not only made a runner for the bottom of her bed with some of the blocks AND a cushion

She then made the quilt using my half sized block instructions and then CUT IT UP and made it into a Santa’s Workshop window! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! What creativity and it came out a treat.

Oh how I want to look through that window and pick out my present!

Tammy something will be winging its way to you soon as a thank you for knocking this sew along out of the park! 🙂

Thank you everyone for joining in (and following along) with the sew along! I am already thinking about hosting another one so stay tuned!

Thanks Anne for getting all our handmade with love gifts in one place! It’s a treat to see what everyone made. Additionally, thank you for all your work in making this sew along happen. I’ve now been inspired to now join a block swap using granny squares with @neverlandstitches and @jessieblankie on Instagram! #modagrannyswap or #mixingupthemoda
