The Avenue Quilt Along Always

We have made our The Avenue Sewalong into one that you can join in whenever YOU want to!

You just sign up for the sewalong, pay the $7.50 administration fee and the weekly emails will start coming to your inbox with our tips and tricks and weekly guide to the pattern.

The sewalong takes 6 weeks and you will have a gorgeous quilt top by the end of it!

How the Sew Along Will Work

Head on over and sign up to join the sew along. You will receive an email (so check your junk / spam folder) with instructions on how to pay the $7.50 AUD administration fee.

Once the admin fee is paid you will receive the Welcome to the Sew Along email and then each week you will get all the tips and trips straight to your inbox. There are also some occasional videos!

You can join our Facebook Sewalong & Quilting Group (please don’t forget to answer the member questions!) and then you can post the pictures of your progress in there.

There are lots of wonderful people in our group that have a wealth of skills and knowledge, so don’t be afraid to ask a question!

Supplies

We are currently out of stock of patterns and the patterns with acrylic templates however we have a range of fabrics for your version of The Avenue!

A layer cake would be perfect to use, or 3 charm packs also! Check out our in stock precuts here

And for the background, we have some great low volume fabrics.

Week 1 – fabric selection and cutting trees. how to cut using the acrylic templates

Week 2 – sewing the tree tops together. how to sew curves. tree trunk options

Week 3 – cutting background pieces. sewing tree trunks. sewing tree blocks together.

Week 4 – sewing tree rows. sewing sashing rows. cutting all borders. sewing rows together.

Week 5 – sewing borders and putting quilt top together

Week 6 – show us your finished quilt tops. quilting suggestions to finish.
