The Avenue sew along starts on Wednesday 25th August, so now is the time to get prepared!

I have been making up my blocks this week (I need to be a bit ahead of everyone else!) and they are looking so gorgeous….. loving my fabric choices!
So it is time for you to start getting your pattern and templates in order….. and then deciding on what fabrics you would like to use.. maybe you want to do something a bit different than the cover version like Susan Kelly did over on Instagram!
Doesn’t it just look amazing in those blues/navys?! It is seriously making me think about doing a second version and I haven’t even finished the first!

25th Aug : Week 1 – fabric selection and cutting trees. how to cut using the acrylic templates
1st Sept : Week 2 – sewing the tree tops together. how to sew curves. tree trunk options
8th Sept : Week 3 – cutting background pieces. sewing tree blocks together.
15th Sept : Week 4 – sewing tree trunks. cutting borders
22nd Sept : Week 5 – sewing borders and putting quilt top together
29th Sept : Week 6 – show us your finished quilt tops. quilting suggestions to finish.
