What We Ate
There was morning, afternoon tea and lunch on both Saturday and Sunday provided by Ian Perry of the Red Shack Cafe in town (and yes, his Portuguese tarts are to die for!). Soups, casseroles and fabulous home baked bread featured!
There was a separate room where we took our breaks, giving us a chance to get social with other people.
Shopping Opportunities
There was a Said With Love pop up shop for a fabric fix, and any orders put in before the retreat were brought with me for free shipping.
There was also a second pop up shop from local Limestone Coast shop, The Rural Stitch Co!
And of course Penola main street has some interesting shops such as homewares and antiques, clothes and winery cellar doors!
And of course there were all the wineries out on the Coonawarra Terra Rossa strip…. the partners and family joining us for the weekend had some fun tasting at those!
