Do you want to learn how to sew garments?

By August 27, 2021blog

As a quilter I am in awe of people who are able to sew garments (that fit and they are happy to wear out of the home!!).

I have toyed with trying garment sewing for a while now, and in one of the many lockdowns recently, I purchased an air threader overlocker by Janome (wow – that auto threading is a game changer!)

So having made a few nighties and pillowcases, I wanted to up my game and try some garments! And then I found Donna of Sewing Squares!

And the answer is YES!! Donna has started a monthly membership group where she releases a pattern each month, along with tutorials and online help…. even zoom sessions to talk through any issues you may be having trying the patterns!

I have joined up and have so far made a bucket hat (need to start somewhere, right!?) and am looking forward to the September pattern which is a top.

Donna makes it fairly easy to transition from quilting to garment sewing… and she is always willing to help out!

So head on over to her website to find out more and to see whether this is something you would like to join in with 🙂

Please note that this post contains affiliate links… you pay the same amount, but Donna will give me a small amount for anybody that signs up with her. And you know that I don’t back anyone or any product that I haven’t tried, tested and love!
