Sewalong Details

Sign up over on the Make Modern Magazine website to receive the weekly emails. This will also sign you up for their regular newsletters (which are jam packed with great information!) and you will need to stay signed up for at least the duration of the sewalong.

Please note that the emails will come from Make Modern Magazine’s email address, not mine.

You will need to purchase either the Issue 64 of the digital magazine (available here) or have a subscription. There are some amazing subscription deals including the All-Access pass which gives you ALL previous issues plus the next year’s issues. So many wonderful, inspiring projects and interviews and articles!

The sewalong will be starting on Monday 2nd June 2025 and will run for 8 weeks ending on Monday 21st July.

There will be an email each week of the sewalong with what we are doing that week as well as tips and tricks and some videos showing particular techniques and showing what we are doing that week.

Expectations

This is going to be a fun and friendly sewalong…. enjoy your sewing time when you are able, ask questions on the videos or in the blog comments or click reply on any of the emails to ask me a particular question (the Make Modern girls will forward them to me!).

But most of all, have fun, get to know some other people doing the sewalong, maybe learn some new skills and enjoy playing with foundation paper piecing!

You are welcome to join our Said With Love Facebook Sewalong & Quilting Group (please don’t forget to answer all three member questions as we try and keep out bots and spammers!) and in this supportive group, we would love to see your progress pictures.

And Make Modern Magazine also have a facebook group which will be the perfect place to see what others are doing in the sewalong!
