Stitch Pink 2020 – My Finished Quilt

By October 30, 2020December 3rd, 2020Stitch Pink

Oh what a wonderful month this has been! So many fabulous people have joined in the Breast Cancer Awareness sewalong around the globe, sharing their love of making and creating and quilting and sharing their stories about how Breast Cancer has affected them and their families.

THANK YOU! For your participation, for your enthusiasm, for just you being you!

And thanks to Moda Fabrics for creating the patterns for this amazing quilt!

Tomorrow is the final instructions on how to finish off our 30 blocks and I just could not WAIT to show you my finished quilt! So here she is in her full glory!

And yes, a chicken managed to photo bomb! hehe…. actually two of them!

I had to do a photo shoot all around our property… here she is hanging out in front of our 1910 country farmhouse….

And in front of the Quilt Barn (because where else should a Quilt hang out?!)

I have thoroughly enjoyed this sew along….. wonderful blocks, stunning fabric (Just Red by Zen Chic for Moda), lovely new sewing friends found and I loved doing the quilting! If I had more time I would have custom quilted it, but instead she got a lovely digital all over design of bows… they reminded me of the pink ribbons for Breast Cancer.

And I am GIVING AWAY this stunning quilt! Everyone who donates $5 or more to my fund raiser for the McGrath Foundation breast care nurses here in Australia (you get a ticket for every $5 donated) goes into the draw on the 8th November to win this quilt!

Postage within Australia is included, but if the winner is overseas we can discuss shipping options : )

And I haven’t shown you the back yet! I had this stunning Tula Pink fabric from her fabric range called Pinkerville…. it was just too good not to use for this quilt!

If you look really closely you will find Nessie the Loch Ness monster, a swan and a unicorn!

So now I am looking forward to next October!! Let’s make a date to do this again next year!

In the meantime, keep an eye here on the blog, on my social media and the Sew Along page as to what sewalong and fun things are happening next!
