Join us for A Year Of Hearts in 2024!
Spread the joy and love of quilting with a block each month – all with a heart theme.
The blocks are a mixture of pieced blocks and applique blocks, with an occasional bit of foundation paper piecing.
One 12.5″ block (unfinished, will be 12″ once sewn into a quilt) each month and near the end of the year there will be a layout design released too.
We would love you to join us in sewing up a year of hearts!
On the 1st of each month the block will be released for free for the first few days of the month only for my newsletter subscribers.
Then, the block will then only be available for purchase for a small fee as a PDF download.

I send out two newsletters a month for people who live OUTSIDE of Australia/New Zealand. These newsletters have tutorials, makes and sewalong information.

The first newsletter of each month will have the link to the block pattern download for free. On the 8th of the month it will change to being a small fee.
This is a perfect project to use up your scraps!
I am making mine from pinks, reds and using up my low volume stash for a scrappy background.
So there aren’t specifically any fabric requirements…..
However, if you don’t have a stash or are new to quilting I would suggest 10 fat quarters in a colour range of your choice (light pink, mid pink, dark pinks for example) with a contrast colour for your hearts of at least a FQ (maybe red or purple). If you want to use the same background throughout the quilt I would suggest 3 metres… however I would make sure it is a basic or solid that you can get more of if you run out!
Each block instruction will have the fabric requirements for that block only.
