2020 Finishalong Plan Q1

By January 20, 2020blog

Each year (and then each quarter) I write up a plan for what I hope to achieve in my making life…. it is fun to think about what I want / need to make each quarter and write it down…. you know how much I love ticking things off a list!!

@finishalong on Instagram is a fun way to keep accountable (and there are prizes too!) however things have changed a bit this year, they are only doing it on Instagram instead of from blogs as well. But I thought I would also still create a blog post for my plans too. It is more detailed than the one I posted on Instagram.

I am using the hashtags #2020FALQ1list and then my personal hashtags so I can keep track of things on Instagram #annesFAL2020 #annes2020FALQ1. When I finish a project and post about it I will use the #2020FALQ1finish

A quilt for a friend

This quilt is made from 3 charm packs of Airflow by Ruby Star Society… it is going to pack a punch!

Spools2

My bee mates from the #aussiebcbeehive2019 made lots of beautiful Bonnie & Camille spools 2 blocks for me… I need to make some more and sew up the quilt!

Birthday Quilt

Well this one has been on my list since LAST year… doh! But both the quilt top and the quilt back have been made, so it is well on track to be a finished quilt in time for this person’s birthday this year!

Farm Girl Vintage 2 Sampler

I have been sewing along with the FQS and Lori Holt for this sew along and I have lots of blocks already made. Still more to go and then to put them together into my sampler layout!

Inventory Quilt

This is something a little new…. I have joined in with Just Wanna Quilt with her Inventory Quilt project. This is where you sew a piece from your stash into a quilt. Sort of like keeping an inventory of your stash! I, of course, am going to do things a little differently but first I need to rewrite one of my patterns to provide into the project!

Swell Xmas Quilt

The quilt top is made I just need to add Santa! This one has been hanging around for ages… poor Santa! Definitely getting this one done this quarter!

Patchwork Amy Butler Weekender Bag

It is time to make another patchwork Amy Butler Weekender Bag! I am teaching a clas for this in March, so I need to make another one to show people the process. Looking forward to diving into my stash for this one!

Do you plan out what you hope to achieve each quarter? Or is that just too loooong a list for you? hehehe.
