Woohoo! We are at month 5 of the Barn Star Sampler Quilt Along that I am doing in conjunction with the Fat Quarter Shop and a great group of bloggers (see my reveal posts at the end of the month for links to their blogs!).

Month 5 is called the Northern Star and it is another smaller block.
It took me a while to pick the fabrics for this month’s blocks…. I was suffering from a lack of decision making skills! Here are my final fabric choices.
Cutting out my fabrics onto my large Lori Holt Design Board from the Fat Quarter Shop (this is the 18″ one but I use the smaller 10″ ones for putting together the corner units. And thank heaven for the Alphabitties too (I always seem to forget which fabric I selected for which part of the block!) and did you know they come in pink, blue and grey?
