I couldn’t resist making a second version of the Charmbot pattern (one of the Charm Collective series being released each month this year).
This time using Sweetwater’s Road 15 fabric from way down the back of my stash…. I think it works well with the robot / more boy theme of this quilt 🙂 Though my quilting went a bit wild!
I took a break from quilting customer quilts and went to town on this quilt for me! It was fun having no rules, no requirements, just do whatever I wanted!
There were a couple of rulers that I wanted to try (the left hand side) and I had been wanting to do a feather, so I had a go at that on the right hand side.
And my favourite flower to do on a quilt I also did a couple of them too on the right hand side. And then, wow, the fun I had doing the filler backgrounds 🙂 🙂 🙂
I used double batting (a 80/20 cotton / poly) and a polyester thread for the top and bottom of the quilt in 40wt, so it showed up well.
And on the back I used the same fabric as the background with a dash of Tula Pink swallows 🙂
This one might have to go up on the wall of the Quilt Barn attic where my quilting studio is, just so I can pat it regularly!
And my hubby @thefabrichusband was wonderful again in his #husbandsholdingquilts duties…. complete with his new t-shirt!
The last finish for the 2019 second quarter Finishalong #2019FALÂ #2019FALSWL
