The year has been full of so many fun quilting and sewing things… and a few family medical dramas that we could have done without… but still, I am looking forward to Q2 of 2019!
A reminder of my goals for 2019 are :
- Continuing the classes in the Said With Love Quilt Barn – a few new fun things are being planned
- Starting my longarm quilting side of the business will also be exciting (and probably a bit challenging!)
- Sew alongs and the Charm Collective….. what a ride 2019 will be!
Check out my plans below for quilts to be finished in the second quarter of 2019!

Girt by Sea Quilt
Only the quilting to be done on this one.. working up my courage to do full on custom quilting on this! I think I have the courage now, but not the time! Too many customer quilts had to be done this quarter, so this one is still waiting 🙁
Jelly Roll patch in B&C Handmade
I have had this partially made as a sample for my beginner quilting class. Had hoped to get this one finished in 2018, but got stuck deciding what background fabrics to use!
Have decided on the background fabric (charcoal Moda Bella solid) and so now it is in the quilting queue!
Charmbot – Charm Collective April
A quilt pattern for all the robot lovers out there! One charm pack and some background fabric and voila, a quilt!
Charmbot #2 – a second robot was born!
Couldn’t resist making a second one of this robot pattern and then I went to town on the quilting of it!
Flowering Charm Cushion – Charm Collective for May
A fun, cute cushion that highlights just a few special charms.
Dream Big Charm Quilt – Charm Collective for June
A fun, cute cushion that highlights just a few special charms.
Hanging with my Gnomies Sew Along
Quite a few more gnomes and gnomettes to make for this quilt, AND my backing of Hank the Giant Gnome…. hoping to get this one finished before the end of the quarter.
Well, life got in the way of this one sadly. Pushing this one out to the last quarter of 2019.
Dr Who
A surprise birthday present (but very belated!) for my Dr Who loving niece…. here’s hoping she doesn’t actually read my blog!!
Amy Butler Weekender Bag
I have overcome my dread and dislike of this pattern, as the final results are just tooooo gorgeous! I finally made my second weekender bag!
Enamel Pin Holder
Gosh I need to find a better way to store my ever increasing enamel pin collection, so I have a new pattern in mind…. stay tuned!
This one is finished, however it is coming out in a magazine in July, so I can’t show it here yet!
Swell Xmas Quilt
This one might be a long shot to get done during this quarter… but you never know !! It is just so gorgeous and I keep itching to continue sewing it!
I did get quite a bit more done on this, but it isn’t a finish for this quarter.
Polaroid Block Cushion
A cute little cushion made from polaroid blocks from a swap many years ago.
Cheeky Table Topper
A fun, quick finish using the very pretty Cheeky by Urban Chiks.
You have a lot of fun projects going on here. I love the whimsical charmbot! Thank you for participating in the FAL, on behalf of the 2019 global FAL hosts.
