I have been loving seeing the other posts people are putting up onto Instgram for the #lazysummerquiltcamp (or for us in the southern hemisphere I have been calling it the #cozywinterquiltin !)
This week’s prompts have been
Favourite Block – this one is a bit like asking which is your favourite child (or in my case, favourite nibling!) Very hard to choose just one. I am currently in my ‘easy, quick quilt era’ so the Churn Dash block has come first to mind.

Binding Beauty – my Moon Diamond quilt that I made during our Make Modern Magazine sewalong I did a gradated binding to match the background of each section – it turned out beautifully!

In the Stars – apart from the Hideaway quilt I have already shown on the Beautiful Blues day, the Barn Star Sampler quilt has stars galore! I co-hosted this with Fat Quarter Shop and you can read more about the final quilt here.

Gorgeous Greens – my friend Lara at our annual Quilt Camp back in May was making a really cool patchwork hoodie in all greens! It was so much fun watching this come alive as the weekend went by.
I couldn’t remember anything quilty that I had made that was green….. it isn’t one of my ‘go to’ colours!

Scraps, Beautiful Scraps. Hehe, well I am a quilter, so I have PLENTY of them! Any scrappy quilts I make are more ‘curated scrappy’ than totally scrappy. I struggle with that. The closest I could think of is my Tula X Plus quilt

Smallest Quilt – I don’t usually make small quilts or wallhangings, but recently I did make one for the Geltwood Festival in Millicent. Tiny scraps made into crumb patchwork and then made into blocks. It was a time consuming process but I love the result! It is about 1 metre square.

Pets and Quilts. I no longer have a pet, but my cat Nikita used to LOVE sitting on a quilt (or a lap!). And we did take a few pictures of ducklings near some fabric, but I couldn’t find any of those pictures at short notice, so here is my Hearty Patches quilt pattern with a barn cat getting very interested in Ian behind the scenes doing the quilt hold!

And, as cats like to do, when I was taking a picture of the matching cushion (pattern is still coming!!), the cat decided it need to get knocked over!
