The invasion of Ukraine by Russia has dominated our news, social media and our minds these past few weeks. While we feel at a loss to be able to DO something constructive to help, money can help. We stand with Ukraine. Our hearts ache for Ukraine.
For the month of March, my Scrappy Pieced Heart PDF pattern will have all profits (price less the taxes and paypal fees) going to help Ukraine.
We have been doing a lot of research to find where best to donate to and at the moment it is between Red Cross, Care, Unicef , World Kitchen or Vostok-SOS. We will let you know in our mid March newsletter which will be the recipient(s).
And I discovered I don’t have much yellow fabric!! This is my entire stash of yellows.
Thankfully enough to do this scrappy pieced heart block and I was delighted to find the Karen Lewis fabric that sort of looks like sunflowers – the national flower of Ukraine. (I actually think the print is of daisies, but I am taking poetic license!)
