Hearty Patches is a fun layer cake quilt and I started this one using a precious Scrumptious Layer Cake (fabric by Bonnie & Camille from many years ago) way back in May at Quilt Camp.
By the end of Quilt Camp I had a finished quilt top and I love how it looks with the sun behind it… like stained glass!
It then sat there for it’s turn on Lily the Longarm, which was finally a week or so ago!
The backing was from Smitten (also Bonnie & Camille) but I felt it went well with the colours and feel of this quilt.
I had a ball with the quilting! An all over free motion paisley flower design.
Then it was binding time. I managed to find the same tiny bias stripe in my stash!
I love this quilt! It is making me want to use up more of those ‘precious’ fabrics in my stash!
And @thefabrichusband helped out with a photo shoot out in the sunshine!
