We start on our applique journey for the next two weeks with lots of different blocks!
There were so many blocks we split them over week 6 & week 7…. giving us all plenty of time to work on them.
I chose to do raw edge machine applique on my blocks as my needleturn applique isn’t the best and I was pushing a deadline.
But by using a matching thread and a small zigzag stitch, it doesn’t show too much and I was really happy with them!
Especially those hearts! But, well, you knew I loved hearts!
The orange peel is quite the cacophony of colours… but trust me…. it will all come together in the end!
And the last block for this week is the owl….. who knew I had so many cute little owl things around the house for the photo!!
