Crescent Tote Bag for Di

By August 21, 2021blog

My good friend Di had her birthday recently and I made her a Crescent Tote bag using Bonnie & Camille canvas!

It turned out really well and I am so happy with it!

The Crescent Tote pattern is by Noodlehead and is a well written bag pattern. Nothing in there is too hard, I would suggest reading the instructions a number of times and then just taking each step at a time. Don’t hurry. Enjoy the making. The paper pattern is available in my shop

It is perfect for for cotton canvas or a slightly heavier than quilting cotton blend. I have been itching to use this Bonnie & Camille canvas for ages (and a little bit from the FQ Canvas Bundle as well!)

But even if you don’t have any canvas (and don’t want to grab some from my shop) you can use a normal weight quilting cotton… it just might just be a little more floppy.

Inside I used my favourite Bonnie & Camille print from April Showers… the raindrop print.

There is a zip pocket inside as well as one on the outside….so lots of places to pop things that won’t go astray!

Thankfully Di loved it… now she just has to wait until her area gets out of lockdown so she can go out of the house and use it!

Have you ever tried making a bag?

Your new bag looks fantastic. I love the blue/green combo.
I’ve never made anything harder than a basic shopping type of bag… one day I may build up the courage 🙂

Hehehehe….. I just take them one step at a time… doing a 3D make after making quilts for so long can be a bit of a leap…. but oh so rewarding!!
