Starting off this #farmgirlfridays with the Scarecrow block from the week before that I didn’t quite get finished in time.
He came up well and enjoyed his time in the sunshine guarding the corn patch!
Then this week’s first block is New Baby Quilt – was a good way to use up some of the scraps I seem to be creating during this sew along (I’m going to need to make a scrappy quilt after my scrappy FGV2 quilt!)
And yes, that is our horde of duckies! We have 22 left….. it seems a Kestrel has been dive bombing the smaller ones and picking them off one by one. We are feeding our little duckies as fast as we can so they are bigger and won’t be able to be taken this way in future… but it is sad when I come out in the morning and there is one less…..
And the final block for this week is Peas and Carrots. We have had really good success with our peas and snow peas this year in the veggie garden…. and as I took this picture, realised I hadn’t harvested for a few days!
We are getting a bit closer to the end of the sew along….. but there are still some more cute blocks coming up!
