When Cindeberries brought out The Greatest Adventure fabric, I just knew it would be perfect for the many boy quilts I wanted to make! So…. I might have bought quite a lot of it 🙂 Yeah, yeah, any excuse to buy fabric I hear you say….
This one, The Greatest Adventure Framed, is the first one.
The Framed pattern from the Simply Retro book by Camille Roskelly showcases the different prints in the range perfectly. The backing just peeking over in front of Paddington is from Vintage Picnic by Bonnie and Camille in wideback.
And it was a quick make (thank goodness because of course I left it until the last minute to start making it!).
Each block I put together I fell in love with the fabric even more…. that boy is having SO much fun playing! I quilted with my favourite (and quick) wavy line stitch on my Janome Horizon…. it makes a great texture to a quilt.
My ‘boy’ also had some fun playing whilst holding up the quilt. @thefabrichusband woz here!
This is one of the finishes on my 2017 Quarter 1 Plan and part of my #2017FALSWL #FAL2017 Finish Along.
Those fabrics look perfect for boys quilts – I love the colors. Making fast and easy quilts is always on my list of things to do! 🙂
Thanks Beth, yes the navy, grey and green and just fab colours together!
This is a lovely simple quilt ante! I love it!
Simple quilts done in great fabrics can look like you spent lots more time making them than you actually did ! 🙂 Gotta love that!
What a great quilt and congratulations on the finish!
