Jen of Patterns By Jen (PBJ for short!) hosts a monthly colour challenge and this year I am not only joining in, but also sponsoring later in the year!
Jen has picked the colours this year based on birds and January is yellow after the Finch 🙂
She releases a block each month along with the colour and there are prizes for completing and linking up on her blog (you can link a post from Instagram too)
Head over to her blog to read all about the colours for the rest of the year as well as this month’s colour.
Now yellow is not big in my stash….. I mean, it is getting awfully close to my dreaded ORANGE… so I don’t have a lot of it…. but after making this block, I probably should change that!
Such a bright and cheery colour 🙂
I am making the monthly blocks out of my Bonnie & Camille stash and will add these blocks to my B&C Sampler quilt which already has quite a number of blocks!
This is a fun way to use up a bit of your stash….. I could easily see a quilt made with this block. Now…. just to find the time….. !
That is really pretty! I love the yellow floral that you added to the design!
Thanks Diann! I thought it would be lovely to have one diagonal going one way, and the larger one going the other way… 🙂
Your block is lovely and very cheery. Not sure I have a lot of yellow in my stash either. I tend to gravitate towards blues or greens.
