Peaceful Planet Sew Along – Final – Week 13

By February 14, 2018blog

Welcome to week 13 and our FINAL week of our very super relaxed Peaceful Planet sew along!

If you want to see all the blocks that have been made along the way check out this first post  🙂

Sorry about not being able to finish things off last week… running out of my background fabric mid-sash wasn’t fun, but I received some more in the mail and I was able to finally get them all put together!

Three sections of Elizabeth Hartman patterns : Awesome Ocean + Delightful Desert + Fancy Forest = Peaceful Planet

Here is my finished quilt top!

It is pretty big….. I was aiming for a single bed quilt that hangs down on both sides and bottom… I *think* I might have that covered! 😀

And yes, there are a few partial seams in there… luckily they all came together well and without too much scratching of the head…. 😀

I couldn’t resist a photo next to the Quilt Barn!

I have loved doing this sew along and making these very cute creatures! Elizabeth Hartman’s patterns are great! Here are a few of my favourites:

Oh, and that last one, the puppy, is actually a Lori Holt pattern from her book The Spelling Bee – it was just too cute not to pop in to the quilt too!

So, now I just have the basting and quilting to go before my great-nephew Felix gets to move into his ‘big boy’ bed with his peaceful planet quilt. I hope he likes it as much as I have loved making it for him 🙂

And thank you so much for following along and joining in on the #peacefulplanetSAL !!

Psst…. the next sew along will be starting June 1st…. stay tuned for more details 🙂

Your nephew will be just as proud of his brand new quilt as he is of his big boy bed. There is no better way to celebrate his transition than with all of these cute little critters. I love your addition of the puppies with the little bandanas 🙂 Congrats on your finish.
