Quilt Market October 2017

By November 5, 2017blog

Wow, it has just been the most amazing weekend watching all the Instagram posts from Quilt Market in Houston, Texas!

If you haven’t been seeing all the delicious new fabrics and quilts come through on your Instagram feed I thought I would share some of the highlights for me. But go and check out the hashtag #quiltmarket2017 on Instagram to see all the other things that have been released!

My favourite new fabrics

(oh be still my beating heart and oh goodness I need to start saving now!)

Nest by @Lellaboutique

Oh those blues and gorgeous flowers!

Swell Christmas by Urban Chicks

This one just makes the Christmas loving me drool…. and the xmas tins?! divine!

Return to Winter’s Lane by Kate and Birdie

When I heard that Kate & Birdie were going to reprint Winter’s Lane (my all.time.favourite.fabric.ever) I was ecstatic! There are a few new prints in amongst the previous ones and stay tuned for a possible blog tour next year!

Vintage Holiday by Bonnie & Camille

Well, it is Bonnie and Camille… 🙂 I love the bows fabric – that is going to be great for some fussy cutting and backings. Oh, and the house Camille covered in fabric! Just gorgeous, and now on my list to make for Xmas instead of a gingerbread house!

Pepper and Flax by Coriander Quilts

I am really loving yellows and greys lately… 🙂

Moda Fabrics is also going to release their C.O.L.O.R. cuts – 12 fabrics from across Moda designers in cute colour ways. In some different sizes too such as Dessert Cuts – 5” x 42” strips – that sounds like fun!

Art Gallery Fabrics is also doing Color Master which are very similar with colour ways across their fabric designer ranges! These will be a lovely way to get some fabric from lots of different designers 🙂

Cotton + Steel have released their knits and other sub-strates of fabric. I am not a clothes sewer (thank you Home Economics teachers!!) but boy if anything will tempt me, some of these will!

There are also some amazing patterns that were released, but they are going to have to wait for another blog post!
