Running With Scissors Case

By August 31, 2018blog

In early July I went to a class with Annie Unrein of Patterns by Annie at Sew Inn in Colac.

It was a fabulous two days doing two different classes with Annie. She is just the loveliest person and such a patient and good teacher!

On the second day (after some advance preparation in my hotel room the night before) I almost managed to finish the Running With Scissors bag… I was THIS close!

Once back at home with work and catching up on my to do list… it took me a couple of weeks to get the case finally finished!

And wow…. how happy am I with this case?! It fits soooooo many of my tools and notions yet doesn’t take up too much room to pop in a bag to take to classes or on holidays!

And the insert pad in the middle has a two fold use… it stops the tools from hitting each other when the case is closed, but also (because it has two layers of soft ‘n stable in it) makes a perfect small ironing mat with a travel iron!.

I made the pockets and spots for tools to fit my particular group of tools and there was only one place I should have done differently…. hehe… next time!

And all in one of my favourite fabrics of all time… Aria by Kate Spain 🙂

If you ever get a chance to do a class with Annie, do it! You will not be disappointed AT ALL!
