It still isn’t too late to join us…. we are going until the end of October 🙂 And it is a very relaxed sew along… just a block can get you entered into some of the prize draws and even a small cushion or table runner will enter you into one of the grand prize draws too! This week I made my Owen Owl block from the North Stars pattern!
I couldn’t resist using some pinks and berry colours for this one 🙂
My plan for my North Stars quilt is to make just the animal parts of each block… I am going to sash these differently than the pattern (and ok, I just couldn’t face all those HSTs and flying geese! I am only just finishing up a quilt that had about 250 HSTs for the last bit and I.am.over.them!)
I took the picture in front of our first rhododendron bush that has started to flower… and in pretty pinks just like my block! I am sure to have more pictures of our rhododendrons on Instagram over the coming months… we have some beauties!
