Let’s get started on our planning for the Stitch Pink sew along starting on the 1st October!
Moda is using a special bundle called Stitch Pink Grunge, however I was unable to get any of that here in Australia in time for the beginning of the sewalong : (
Instead, I have created a couple of bundles using Just Red by Zen Chic which goes from the palest of pinks through to a very deep red…. perfect for this sew along! And this is what I am going to use too.
The yardage requirements (see below image that has the grunge fabric numbers too) are for fabric off the bolt, however I have looked through the pattern instructions and we can also use Fat Quarters.
So my bundles have 21 Fat Quarter bundles (20 should be enough for the blocks plus one for any oopsies!) along with 60cm of binding and 3.5 metres of Moda Bella 200. Everything to get you up and going with the sew along ! $185 + postage.

This sampler quilt will look AWESOME done scrappy from your stash too! What a fabulous opportunity to revisit all the pinks and delicious fabrics you already have in your stash!
And maybe you don’t even have to think in pinks and reds….. maybe blues or rainbow?
You will need 20 Fat Quarters with a range from pale through to dark to get a good amount of contrast in the various block patterns.
