Stitched Up in Gisborne

By August 18, 2019August 27th, 2019blog

I went to the inaugural Stitched Up in Gisborne on Saturday and it was such a fun day!

We were met by Mary at the door to the beautiful, bright Mechanic’s Institute in Gisborne with a bulging goodie bag (ooh I love a goodie bag, don’t you?!)

There were heaps of kits and patterns and notions in there, and of course some cute fabric as well!

And as you can see by the picture above, the tables were set beautifully with a bright fabric tablecloth and lollies for us 🙂

There were five ‘trunkers’….. amazing quilters who brought along some of their stunning quilts to showcase and discuss with us. I got so caught up with them, I forgot to take pictures of them all! doh!

Still, here is Veronique (complete with the most gorgeous french accent!) showing off her stunning double sided quilt

The sweets table was just delightful…. everything I tasted was divine!

And lots of lovely, friendly ladies enjoying the day chatting and sharing their knowledge… and it was great to catch up with a few people I knew too!

And we didn’t even have to nick around to Patchnquilt shop, as there was a pop up shop in the hall too!

And to top off a wonderful, quilty day…. I came home to a home cooked roast chicken meal made by @thefabrichusband…. and he had even baked a cake for dessert! What a day!!
