Xmas Swap 2014

By November 27, 2014November 27th, 2019blog

The Xmas swap in December 2014 was my very first Instagram swap. I was very tentative (and stressed!) about the swap and how it would work and what on earth I should make!!

After stalking my partner on IG (nicely of course!) I discovered that she loved to knit, so I decided I would make her a quilted project bag – from some lovely fabric called Sweet Plum.

As I was starting to piece the fabric together I realised I would have enough for another bag, so I made one for me too! Made me feel better that I was going to have to give one away 🙂

And there was also enough left over quilted fabric to make two smaller bags – extra Xmas presents for a niece and friend’s daughter.

The bag was just the perfect size for my swap partner’s latest knitting project and she loved all the little goodies I popped in there too.

After all the excitement of planning and making my partner’s gift I had actually forgotten that I was to receive a present as well!

Opening the present from @mrslill62 was just amazing!!

She had put so much thought into the swap and made me a gorgeous table runner in my favourite Mistletoe Lane fabric (it had hardly been released at that stage!) and so many gorgeous little extras I felt very spoilt.

It was a wonderful introduction to IG swaps and I have signed up for a few more now!
