I have FINALLY written the pattern to turn your A Year Of Heart blocks into an amazing heart shaped quilt!
The PDF downloadable pattern has all the instructions on how to make all of the background blocks and the outside blocks to make a heart shape.
The internal blocks (marked BLOCK on this cover) are NOT included in this Heart Layout pattern, they are from the original A Year Of Hearts blocks from 2024 which are available to purchase individually, or in early 2026 will be available as a single product to purchase with multiple PDF downloads.
This is my version of the Heart Layout quilt! It looks SOOO good in real life! Here is a quick picture I took of my quilt top before it has headed upstairs to the Quilt Barn Attic to be quilted (there is a queue sadly!)
And I chose to use the words HEART and MAKER crossed in the middle!
I also chose to make all of my AYOH internal blocks with a darker background so that the heart stands out well.
However, if you made your original AYOH blocks with a lighter background, then you could always choose to make your heart layout background a darker colour so that the heart itself is light. That could look really cool!
