Each month in the Aurifil Colour Builders (or Color Builders for our North American friends) there is not only a gorgeous box of three delicious threads, but I have been creating a 12″ block as well as videoing how to free motion quilt the block on your domestic sewing machine.
April’s spools include 2145 Yellow Orange, 4150 Creme Brulee and 3817Marrakesh. And whilst I am not an orange fan, these gold spools are delicious and oh my goodness, the Marrakesh variegated spool is amazing! I will definitely be getting more of this one!
This month’s rainforest plant is the Golden Shrimp Plant which is also known as the Golden Candle Plant, it attracts hummingbirds, butterflies and is also a great houseplant!
This month’s bonus block I did some straight line quilting in the main part of the block and then did some wishbone free motion quilting around the background corners.
