February 1st is finally here! yay! The Boho Heart Quilt Along starts today and I have been working very hard behind the scenes making blocks and some videos and taking a gazillion photos (when you start having to work out how to get space back on your phone because you are taking too many pictures, you know things are getting serious!)
The response from the quilting community has been fantastic! We have over 900 people joining in the sewalong YAY!
We are starting off the sewalong in a nice easy way….. doing some basic square patchwork blocks and then stretching ourselves a little with one larger block with a few elements that will test the beginners in our group.
Then a few little blocks that will be spread around the quilt and I started to get into some of the bright Alison Glass fabrics!
And the final block for this week is Gardenvale… the second suburb that Jen Kingwell’s shop, Amitie was in before they moved to Torquay out by the beach.
This block looks great and I can’t wait to see what it looks like in other fabrics that people have chosen!
