Icy Poles Sew Along – Winners!

By November 22, 2018May 31st, 2019blog, Icy Poles Sew Along

Thank you everyone so much for making our Icy Poles Sew Along such a fun event. Lots of beautiful quilts, quilt tops and cushions were made and lots of oohing and aahing over wonderful fabric choices!

It has taken a few days to sort out the winners of all the various prizes but finally I can share with you the lucky ladies who have won some fun things as ‘thankyous’ for participating! Winners if you could please contact me via email or FB messenger or IG direct message, I will arrange for your prizes to be sent to you 🙂

I wish I could give you all prizes!

Firstly the winner of our Friendship Prize sponsored by Aqua Paisley Studio – Sharon Quaintance Treece!  This was a tough one to select as so many of you commented and liked on lots of everyone else’s posts – it was great to see sharing and caring along the way! So congratulations to Sharon – you have won a couple of Samantha’s wonderful patterns in PDF format and a copy of the book “Fat Quarter Favourites” !

Next up is a prize that wasn’t even on our prize list… it was one I was keeping up my sleeve in case there was something really special made during our sew along….and there was! Thank you so much @lisajanlovestoquilt on IG who made the most gorgeous penguin fussy cut block…. I just loved it! (and wondered if I could sneak over to her house and bring it home with me!!). You win a small FQ bundle, some penguin pencils (!) and one of my fabric scrap xmas ornaments 🙂

And then we have the prize for a completed small project (like a cushion etc)… this prize is a 6 month subscription to Make Modern Magazine and the winner is … @thebobbinjar for her seriously C.U.T.E. cushion!

And we have two sponsors and two prizes for completed quilt tops / quilts.

The first prize is two Vintage Holiday charm packs from Patchworks Plus Tasmania for a finished quilt top… and the winner is….Lynn McIndoe! A lovely penguin party quilt top 🙂

And our final prize is the winner’s choice of 6 PDF patterns from Pattern Drop is Cheryl Wilson from our Facebook group! A lovely finished quilt hanging in the trees 🙂

So thank you everyone for participating and making some wonderful quilts!

Enjoy all your makes and don’t forget to pop February 2019 into your diary for our next Elizabeth Hartman sew along – Norm & Nanette the gnomes! That one is going to be lots of fun too!

I responded to this but it seems to have been lost in cyberspace.
I was surprised but thrilled to see my name in the list of winners.
I loved making my penguins and seeing everyone elses.
The walruses and otters and other animals were gorgeous too.
Thanks so much Anne for hosting it and for being such an encouraging and positive host.
