Moda are hosting a virtual #CharmPackChallenge sew along over the weekend January 14th and 15th 2023 making their Moda Love Star block!
This pattern is awesome…. using some half square triangles, and some squares you can create this beautiful quilt!
I am going to tweak mine a little bit by adding in a couple of borders… one inner border in the same fabric as my background and then an outer border in a coordinating colour to the main block.
And just to be a bit different, I am going to use a Moda Frivol… do you remember those gorgeous tins from years ago?
I have a few of them that I have been wanting to use and this sounds like the perfect time! They are actually 7″ square instead of 5″ like the charm squares, so my quilt will be a little bit larger.
And with the two borders (inner will be cut at 4″, so once sewn in will be 3.5″. The outer border will be cut at 6.5″ so once sewn in will be 6″) will bring my Moda Love Star Frivol version to 71″ square.
