Sooooo happy that this one is now quilted, bound and FINISHED!
The Hideaway side of the quilt was started back in 2023….. there are LOTS of very small flying geese to be made for this quilt and it seemed like they were going to take forever : ) But they did make the most gorgeous stars!
The Patchwork Swoon was made during 2024…. and then it just sat there for ages waiting for me to get it onto Lily the Longarm!
I put some very large borders around the patchwork swoon so I had plenty of space to be able to centre the Hideaway quilt on the front.
Quilting a double sided quilt on a long arm takes a bit of measuring and it is almost impossible to get it perfectly in the centre of the back, but I did a pretty good job of it!
Binding was next and I managed to get this done pretty quickly, as Christmas is looming on the horizon!
In hindsight I probably should have put a small border around the Hideaway quilt top as well, my points did end up getting a bit swallowed by the binding, but oh well. Nobody is going to notice except for everyone who has read this blog post!

It is sitting on our queen size guest bed and it fits just nicely on top of the bed.
This has now been given to my brother for his birthday in 2026!
