Just in time for Valentine’s Day (and well, you know me, I love hearts at ALL time of the year!!) I have designed and created a new quilt pattern called Hearty Patches!

I used Shoreline by Camille Roskelley for the cover version of the Hearty Patches pattern.
And I used Vintage by Sweetwater to make a second version. Changing up the fabric made the pattern look quite different!
And there were a few bits left over from the layer cake, so I made a cushion as well! I had hoped to have the cushion pattern available for you, but that will have to wait for another day.
I do love using up every little skerrick of our much loved fabrics!
The Hearty Patches quilt is a beginner pattern with some basic shapes and some good skill building techniques to learn such as stitch and flip corners and nesting of seams.
Oh, and the best thing? For a more seasoned quilter, this quilt top can be done in a day! If you are a confident machine quilter and binder, then the entire quilt could be done in a weekend. A perfect last minute gift for a friend or teacher’s gift!
The quilt finishes at 54” x 63” and if you wanted it to be a little larger, you could easily add a border in a coordinating print from the same collection!
