Peaceful Planet Sew Along – Week 4

By November 8, 2017May 4th, 2018blog

Welcome to week 4 of our very super relaxed Peaceful Planet sew along!

If you missed the beginning it isn’t too late to join us, this is one of the Said With Love’s relaxed sew alongs… you can join in at any time! Check out this first post for what it is all about 🙂

I am getting closer to finishing my ocean section by making 2 seahorses.

I am making my life a little harder (of course!) by turning my seahorses to face into the quilt instead of both facing the same way.

And I have to say that seahorse has a LOT of little pieces. I think I made one section of it about 3 times as I kept putting things around the wrong way….. argh!

As I start to put my quilt top together you will notice that I like things to be symmetrical and I couldn’t have them facing the same way! But boy, definitely not the sort of sewing you want to do when tired (note to self!)

But they are pretty darn cute, so they are forgiven 🙂

I also created the numbers from Spelling Bee by Lori Holt that will go in the forest section. Hence using the green fabric from Big Sky.

Still hanging out to get to Hazel… but next week are the fish… lots of fish!

How are you going with your projects?

Take a look at the hashtag #peacefulplanetSAL to to see what fun blocks other people are making 🙂
