Quilting Plan for Q1 2021

By January 4, 2021blog

Starting again this year, I am going to put up my plan for quilting each quarter (it just didn’t seem possible to plan anything last year!).

To enter in to win prizes you need to post on Instagram with the #2021falq1list and then as you finish things during the quarter use #2021falq1finish. And don’t forget to follow along with @finishalong on Instagram too.

Sorry I am a bit late getting this post up to tell you about this (need to have your post in by midnight EST) but hopefully you can check out the hashtag and think about your own quarter quilting plan for next quarter?

So here is my plan for January, February and March……

#sewmyprecious

Finally quilt and finish my Tula Pink XPlus quilt!

This one was pieced nice and slowly all last year using all my Tula stash.

#hangingwithmygnomies

Argh…. this one has been sitting in pieces for quite a while….. this is my WIP I would most like to finish up (I think it is the guilt of not having finished the sew along!!)

Going to make a smaller quilt and just get.it.done.

FQS new Pattern

This gorgeous pile of Ombre Confetti fabrics are about to become a gorgeous little quilt from one of the Fat Quarter Shop‘s newest patterns… stay tuned on 5th January!

Ruby Star Society Panel

I REALLY, REALLY want to quilt this huge panel quilt up….. to have the fun of custom quilting something for myself and have this as either our bed or our guest bed’s quilt…. awesome, right?!

Boho Heart Quilt

Mine is going to be in all Alison Glass fabrics and I’ll be making this for the Sewalong that starts on February 1st… but I will need to finish my quilt before the end of the sewalong to keep ahead of people 🙂

So this one should be finished by end of March.

And while I would love to add in quite a few more of my WIPs…. being realistic, with my work load and hosting the Boho Hearts quilt along… this will probably be about it!

What are you hoping to make in the first couple of months this year?

I will join along, but won’t get my post up until we get home in a couple of days. I need to get my farmers wife blocks assembled, and I think I have either 4 or 5 tops that need basting and quilting.
