This was a fun sew along making Jen Kingwell and Andrea Bair’s Boho Heart Quilt!

The quilt looks stunning in pretty much every fabric selection you could decide on… but I used a curated bundle of Alison Glass fabrics.

The quilt along started on February 1st 2021 and will go until mid May 2021. To be part of the sewalong you need to sign up to receive the weekly emails with all the details of which blocks and my tips and tricks. (Sign ups are now closed for this sewalong)

The QAL (quilt along) will finish in mid May 2021.

How the Sew Along Will Work

First of all, you will need to sign up for to receive the Sewalong Newsletters (sign up has now closed).

Second you will need to purchase the pattern.

Third – choose your fabrics! I will be using Alison Glass fabrics based on her Art Theory range. And I am also using low volumes for the background.

Schedule

We will start making blocks on Monday the 1st of February 2021 and end in the middle of May 2021.

I have split the blocks into weekly groups and, as there are quite a few blocks to make for this quilt, it does seem like a lot each week. BUT, before you panic and get stressed, there are catch up weeks throughout the schedule and this is just a suggested schedule for you.

If your life doesn’t allow for this much sewing, don’t worry, make what blocks you can, when you can!

And some of these blocks are quite simple and repetitive so you will be able to knock them over very quickly.

Blocks vary from 10″ down to 2″

The Quilt Along will finish on week beginning 10th May 2021 by sewing up your finished quilt top.

You can quilt and bind it at your own pace after that.
