I bought this quilt top almost completed at the Coro Valley Retreat trading table. There were just the borders to put on and some applique to complete as well as a bit of embroidery.
The embroidery was quite enjoyable, the raw edge applique a little less enjoyable! But I got there.
But I was most looking forward to the custom quilting!
Each block was given a different treatment and it was fun!
The row of houses took the most time with pebbles as ‘snow’ and the falling snow in the sky! But I love the result.
And each background of the blocks were fun to choose, sometimes it was the background fabric that gave me an idea, or the applique.
The border print was all flowers and swirls, so I echoed those to give a lush look.
So nice to get another finish in before the end of the calendar year!
