Alphabet Panel Make Number 1

By April 16, 2023blog

These gorgeous Alphabet Botanical panels have been screaming at me to make something with them for ages now…. today was finally the day! (They also come in a beautiful blush pink background too).

They are perfect for personalising a project with the person’s initial or name, or even a word that means something to them! There are two panels, one with all the letters of the alphabet and this one that has more vowels and popular letters!

First up I pulled some fabrics from my stash to make some scrappy patchwork around the letter C. Which was then used in a Noodlehead Open Wide Zippered Pouch from her free tutorial here.

This zippy pouch pattern is my go-to for zippy pouches…. they open up wide (just like the name suggests!) so it makes them easier to get things in and out of. There are three sizes… I made the middle size today.

And I love popping a little zipper pull on these too – just another little ‘made with love’ touch to a gift!

And can we talk about that Anna Maria Horner echinacea fabric? It had just the right shades of purple/pink and coral that are in the Alphabet Botanical letter flowers!

And the greens went well with this Lella Boutique Christmas Morning fabric (sadly long sold out).

A zip from my stash as well and this was a morning well spent in the sewing room! And a wonderful gift for the present drawer for those last minute gifts.
