Welcome back for month 7 of the Barn Star Sampler Quilt Along that I am doing in conjunction with the Fat Quarter Shop. We are half way through the sewalong and because we did the hard yards of the big blocks first up, our quilt blocks are starting to look awesome together!

This month’s block is the Friendship Star and this is what it looks like
My fabric choices of course are not that pale and quiet!!
I am tweaking the cutting from the book to use the Fat Quarter Shop paper piecing pads for the square in a square and oversizing my flying geese and doing four-at-a-time and trimming down with my bloc loc ruler.
My second block is going to be with these gorgeous purples
