I finally was able to get my Community Slowalong quilt up on Lily the Longarm and quilted! Yay! I do love a finished project!
I am really pleased with how this sewalong went – so many gorgeous people joined in and have made their own quilt (well, quilt top!).
And I am thrilled with how the quilting turned out…. a digital pattern with large flowers and butterflies on it!
I thought an all over design would be best so as to not detract from the beautiful blocks!
Oh, and the backing is Ombre Confetti wideback in Magenta (there might still be some of it in the shop!) which came up a treat.
And here is the full quilt so you can get a good look at how all the blocks came together! I did also change up the binding from what was in the quilt kit… I used some more of the solid Iris purple.
And @thefabrichusband wasn’t available to do the quilt hold, so my dad stepped in for his first quilt hold ever and he did a WONDERFUL job! I’ll need to set him up with his own instagram account…. @thefabricdad : )

Your quilt is absolutely divine. It is breathtaking…
I love it and haven’t even started mine yet. Hopefully once I’ve all the baby quilts out of the way & a wedding quilt quilted, I may make a start on it as winter sets in. I just can’t believe how many bubs are on the way in our locality. Must have been something in the water here(giggle). Thanks for sewalong and glad to have the patterns to do soon. Take care & hugs from West Gippsland.
