In all the excitement of family getting together for Christmas, I forgot to post this blog post about the week 8 blocks for the Community Slowalong! So here they are…..
The 12″ block is called Pine Nut and it is a doozy for just before Christmas (sorry!!).
The trick is definitely to take your time with cutting, sewing, pinning (a lot!) and pressing. I centred my block by putting a small border on all sides of it to get it up to 12.5″ unfinished.
The 6″ block was thankfully much easier! The 4 Patch 8 Patch block is quick and easy and fun!
