Week 2 of our Edelweiss Sewalong of the Camille Roskelley pattern and we get to some SEWING this week!
Well, after we make a few decisions about which fabrics are going to be our flower petals and centres of course!
And once all the decisions have been made it is on to snowballing corners….. a LOT of them!
Chain piecing is definitely your friend when doing a repetitive task like this…. and so is some good music and a good cup of your favourite beverage!
I am a big fan of the Cluck Cluck Sew Diagonal Seam Tape and it is a great notion to have in your kit bag!
Makes lining up the corner to corner sewing for snowballing blocks nice and easy! Saves having to draw a line (which I will still do on much larger pieces) and you can get those snowball corners done and dusted!
The rest of this week is sewing the background pieces onto our snowballed sections to make the Flower Corners.
It isn’t too late to join our sewalong! Read all about it here including the link to sign up to receive the detailed weekly emails with tips and tricks.
And there is also a video for this week talking about tips on snowballing corners as well as dealing with directional prints.
