Well it has been a long time between drinks (or quilt patterns)! Today is the day that the Honeybun Patch Quilt Pattern is launched and available for sale!
In case you haven’t met a honeybun yet, they are the cutest precut roll by Moda and are 1.5″ strips across the width of the fabric for the entire fabric line.
They are such a sweet way to get all the fabrics from a particular line you love without breaking the bank (and seriously, one of these could slip into your handbag so your family won’t see your purchase when you walk back into the house!!)
And this picture shows the difference between a Jelly Roll (on the left) and a Honeybun (the right).
Honeybun Patch Quilt Pattern is the baby sister of the Jelly Roll Patch Quilt Pattern, and like that pattern, uses up ALL Of the honeybun roll…. you know how I hate leftovers and waste!
The baby size of the quilt is 43″ x 43″ (109cm x 109cm) and uses one honeybun and background fabric.
The throw size of the quilt is 43″ x 63″ (109cm x 160cm) and uses two honeybuns and background fabric. In the cover quilt I have used a light background on the front and a darker one of the ‘back’.
And pssst don’t tell, but I think I love the back more than the front!
These quilts are easy and fun to make and I try and have one in my finished stash for handy presents… there always seems to be an occasion that pops up out of the blue that you want to give someone a ‘wrapped in love’ quilt.
