Well I finally managed to make the time to get the Queen of Hearts quilt top up onto Lily the Longarm! It has been just a few months (like about 2 years!) so it was definitely time to get this one finished!
And if you would like to go back and see the original blog post and all the gorgeous fabric, click here!
This was the pattern looks like! I kitted this up when Tula Pink’s Curiouser and Curiouser fabric collection came out.
I had run out of the pink dripping roses for my version, so I used the blue roses and I tweaked the layout a bit. And I didn’t really like the purple hearts that bled into the border, so I left those out!
It was such a fun make! Here she is, just off the longarm
The quilting design is called Deck of Cards and has all the suits of cards so it matched well!
The binding has been sewn onto the front and I now have a few relaxing evenings in front of the fire to hand sew it onto the back. My Rainbow Pop binding baby has been holding onto this binding for almost 2 years! (and psssst…. the binding babies are on a ship heading here so you too can have a Rainbow Pop or Annabel!)
The Queen of Hearts quilt pattern is a free pattern from the Free Spirits website.
And here she is in all her glory, finished and about to be given to my great nephew who LOVES to read!
And I couldn’t give an Alice in Wonderland quilt without a copy of the book….. and maybe a white rabbit!
Looking good and I’m glad I’m not the only one with “old” tops that need finishing. Can’t wait to see the “hubby hold” photos. Not the best weather of late for outdoor photos, but I’m sure your side of has more sunny days than here. Take care & hugs.
Thanks Susan! Yes, it hasn’t been the best weather for photographs…. Just added in the fabric husband hold and a cute indoor shot too!
