Want to finish some WIPs?

By August 19, 2022blog, WIPAlong2022

Most quilters seem to have a guilty little secret stashed away in our sewing spaces…… WIPs! Works In Progress – they just seem to multiply when you aren’t looking : ) (a bit like our scrap baskets, but that is a story for another day!)

So for the next six weeks we are having a WIP Along at Said With Love!

You select one of your Works In Progress that you want to get finished or moved along a little, post about it in our Facebook Quilting and Sewalong Group or on Instagram with the hashtag #trackthatwip (and tag me @said_with_love so I see your post!)

We cheer you on, give you encouragement, even some advice if asked for. All with the purpose of getting a little bit of progress on some projects that have been languishing…..

So sign up to receive our email tips and suggestions HERE

And read a bit more about the WIP Along 2022 HERE.

I will get this party started by naming my Fall Breeze Quilt my first WIP!

Pattern : Fall Breeze by V&Co

Fabric: Ombre Bloom by V&Co

Where I am at: the blocks have FINALLY been made and just sitting there for the past three weeks.

What I want to achieve: get them into a quilt top!

When I am going to work on this: this is my plan for my Friday night!

What still needs to be done: then this will go into my To Be Quilted queue

So join in our WIP Along and get some support and tips on how to get those WIPs into finishes!

I should join in but don’t do FB, but I did get out one very old WIP & finished it a couple of weeks ago & it’s in the my queue too. I’ve also quilted a few quilts I made back at the turn of the century (now doesn’t that sound funny) and am pleased with that progress, but this weather is doing my head in. Water, water everywhere here in Gippsland. Take care & hugs.
