Did you make a Moda Love Star from their Charm Pack Challenge in January? (see my post here)
I made mine using a Frivol (7″ squares) of the Little Miss Sunshine fabric collection by Lella Boutique.
It is such a fun and versatile pattern!
I then added in a small border in the background Moda Bella 200 (off white) and in February Moda Fabrics challenged us to make heart blocks to go with our Moda Love Star block. (Read more about that challenge in my blog post here).
The Moda pattern extension had the hearts scattered around the Star block like this
But as I hadn’t used a charm pack to begin with, my sizings were different…. so I still made some hearts, but I did tweak the heart pattern a little and used the full charm square to make each heart.
And then I mixed them in with some full charm squares to make this fun extra border!
One more off white border and my Moda Love Star with Hearts quilt top is done!
I have lots of different pieces of yardage from this collection that will be going to make a scrappy backing and binding when I get a chance.
