2019 Quilting Plan Q3

By July 15, 2019October 6th, 2019blog

We are on to the second half of the year already!

The first six months of 2019 were FULL ON (check out the blog post of the last quarter here) but filled with LOTS of fun fabric and quilting!

A reminder of where I am at with my overall goals for 2019 :

  • Continuing the classes in the Said With Love Quilt Barn. We have a few more fun classes planned still!
  • My longarm quilting business is going gangbusters! Loving seeing all the amazing quilts people bring me!
  • And we started selling fabrics as well – now THAT is fun!
  • Six more months of Charm Collective quilts too…woohoo! check out the first six months here!

And these are my plans below for quilts and other projects to be finished in the third quarter of 2019!

Girt by Sea Quilt

OK. This one is DEFINITELY getting done this quarter. Come hell or high water!

Ummm….. with my quilting business taking off so quickly, I just did not have time to put one of my own quilts on the longarm…. so this is being bumped to next quarter. But I am determined to get it done during my December holidays!!

Jelly Roll patch in B&C Handmade

Hoping to get this one onto the finishing schedule too this quarter.

Another ummm….. this one didn’t make it to the top of the WIP pile either!

Charm Framed – Charm Collective July

Charm Framed uses a Jelly Roll as well as some focal charm squares 🙂 Part of the Charm Collective Series.

Charm Medley – Charm Collective August

The Charm Medley is a great way to showcase beautiful charms from a Charm Swap or just those you have collected in a particular colour way or from a particular designer!

Diamonds are the Charm – Charm Collective September

Oh I love this one! Inspiration for this came from the stained glass door in my loungeroom…. I love watching the light change as the day goes by streaming through this window!

And now there is a quilt pattern to match it!

Dr Who

A surprise birthday present (but very belated!) for my Dr Who loving niece…. here’s hoping she doesn’t actually read my blog!!

This one is going to be pushed out to 2020…. it isn’t even going to make it into the last quarter of 2019! But determined to finish it before next year’s birthday!!

Put a PIN in it! Enamel Pin Holder

Gosh I need to find a better way to store my ever increasing enamel pin collection, so I created a pattern to help me store and display them!

This pattern is in issue 29 of Make Modern Magazine!

Swell Xmas Quilt

This one might be a long shot to get done during this quarter… but you never know !! It is just so gorgeous and I keep itching to continue sewing it!

Pushing this out to Q4 of 2019

Aria Fabric Jelly Roll Rug

Another jelly roll rug is done!  Using our Jerry’s Jelly Roll Rig, it got finished a LOT quicker!

Rainy Day Sewing Book – Portfolio Tote

Amy Sinibaldi’s new book Rainy Day Sewing was finally released and I made the Portfolio Tote for her book / blog tour! A gorgeous book and I want to make so many more items from it 🙂

Mr Domestic Catch & Release Party – Cushions

I made two of my Flowering Charms cushions for the Mr Domestic release of his new fabric line. AND I tried fabric weaving for the first time too! That was a lot of fun.
